For blows and bites of a minor resident of Snezhnogorsk received a sentence

A resident of Snezhnogorsk received a sentence for torturing a minor. This was reported by the press service of the Polar District Court of the Murmansk region.

The court found that in November 2025, a man on the basis of personal hostile relations systematically beat a minor victim, as well as beat and bit him in different parts of the body. This caused the child physical and mental suffering, pain and bodily harm without harm to health.

The man was found guilty under paragraph "d" of part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation. This article punishes the torture of a minor who is in a helpless state.

When imposing punishment, the court took into account the nature and degree of danger of the crime, the circumstances, the identity of the perpetrator, the absence of aggravating circumstances and the presence of mitigating circumstances. Together with the sentence of February 2026, the man was sentenced to three years and two months of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony.

The verdict has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.

Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that a drinking mother from Luvenga was punished for beating her daughter and sent to a doctor.
