20-year-old defender of Voronezh “Torch” Matvey Bardachev received the title of the best player of the meeting with the Samara “Wings of the Soviets”. The match of the 11th round of the Russian Premier League took place on October 17 and ended with a victory for Voronezh with a score of 2: 1.
The best football player at the end of the game was chosen by experts of the RPL and the Match Premier TV channel, the official broadcaster of the championship.
In the first half, the teams exchanged goals. In the 17th minute, Brazilian Torch defender Clayton opened the scoring after a corner draw, which was performed by team captain Ilnur Alshin. However, Martin Kramarich soon regained his balance.
The second half was decisive. In the 67th minute, Alshin again acted as an assistant, giving the corner to Bardachev. The young defender sent the ball into the goal with a head blow and brought the Torch its first victory in the current RPL championship.
Thanks to three points scored, the Voronezh team rose from last place to the 15th line of the standings. The situation could change after the match of the Moscow “Rodina”, which before the game was one point less.
The next meeting in the championship “Torch” will hold at home against “Homeland”. The match of the 12th round is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, the beginning - at 15:00.
