Protracted and unpredictable magnetic storm paralyzes meteorologists from October 21
Earth has entered a protracted period of increased solar activity, which is why the middle of the week will be geomagnetically unstable
During the first half of the day, an “excited” background will prevail in Novosibirsk: the geomagnetic activity index (Kp-index) will be fixed at the level of 4 points. This condition is not yet considered a full-fledged storm, but can already cause mild malaise.
The main danger is predicted closer to the evening - around 21:00 local time, an increase in fluctuations is expected when the index can reach 5 points, which corresponds to a weak magnetic storm of the G1 class. According to estimates of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory, the probability of perturbation transition into a full-fledged storm on Wednesday is 31%, and peak loads can be delayed for the next day.
Due to the turbulent space situation, doctors recommend spending this day in a gentle mode. Avoid serious physical and emotional stress in the afternoon, give up strong coffee and control blood pressure. Simple walks in the fresh air and full sleep will help minimize the impact of magnetospheric fluctuations on the body.
