The first stage of repair of the 116-year-old library in Novopskov completed

In Novopskov, a key stage in the restoration of the historic building of the Central District Model Library, which is more than 116 years old, has been completed. Large-scale work is carried out within the framework of the People's Program "United Russia".

During the first stage, specialists strengthened the foundation of the building, equipped a new pavement and repaired the basement, covering a total area of 362 square meters. “Party landing” headed by Deputy Secretary of the local branch of the party Tatiana Greceana inspected the facility, confirming the high quality and compliance with the deadlines for the work.

The next stage of reconstruction is scheduled for 2027 and will include the renovation of the facade, the drainage system and the entrance group for the full return of the historical appearance. A ramp will also be installed to provide an accessible environment. As Victoria Shirokorad noted, the preservation of such iconic objects is a contribution to cultivating respect for history among the younger generation.
