Green frame of Pyatigorsk replenished 500 trees

In Pyatigorsk, during the city-wide Saturday, the green fund was replenished with more than 500 new seedlings. This was reported in his social networks by the head of the city Dmitry Voroshilov.

Large-scale landscaping has covered key public spaces and recreational areas. The main planting material - trees and shrubs adapted to the local climate - was provided by the Gorzelenstroy and the forest farm.

Pyatigorsk, which is part of the eco-resort region of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, places special requirements on the area of green spaces. According to the regulations for resort cities, this indicator should be much higher than in conventional industrial centers.

Each tree in the southern city reduces the temperature in the summer by 2-3 degrees in the radius of the crown and acts as a natural filter for dust retention.

An increase in the density of plantings in public spaces contributes to the production of phytoncides, which is an integral part of climate therapy - one of the main therapeutic factors of Pyatigorsk.

Experts note that the use of seedlings from the Beshtaugor forestry farm increases the survival rate of plants up to 85-90%, since the trees are grown in similar soil and climatic conditions and do not require prolonged acclimatization.

Dmitry Voroshilov expressed special gratitude to residents, volunteers and employees of departments who took to the streets of the city to make a personal contribution to the improvement.
