This year the contest is timed to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Its theme is "Folk Patterns." Participants are invited to combine the image of the Christmas tree of 1945 with traditional ornaments of their culture and create an artistic image of unity, continuity of generations and respect for the traditions of their native land.
