Residents of Karelia played the role of “rise from the dead” in the new horror
The film company “Karyala Film”, engaged in casting for filming in the republic, reported on the completion of work on episodes of the horror film

The film company Karjala Film, engaged in casting for filming in the republic, reported on the completion of work on episodes of the horror film. Previously, the producers announced the search for textured actors – they needed tall and thin men who were ready to act in difficult conditions: in the rain and in the mud, depicting the dead.
As a result, candidates from Karelia and St. Petersburg were approved for the role. In the final credits, viewers will see the names of Ilya Zhivchikov, Bogdan Donets, Artem Smudenkov, Konstantin Sizov, Fyodor Gustinovich, Roman Tatinbetov, Alexander Silin, Danil Vasilyev and Denis Glokush.
The plot of the picture is built around the story of the musician Ilya Gromov (played by Peter Fedorov). The hero discovers that his family for centuries protected humanity from Mara, the mythical goddess of death. To rescue the kidnapped son, Gromov is forced to go to the other world of Nav.
The director's chair was taken by Rustam Mosafir, known for the film "Scythian". The cast also included Evgeny Tkachuk, Marfa Pashkova and Alexander Ilyin Jr. The main block of filming took place in Sortavala and Pitkärant districts, after which the team moved to the capital.
