Residents of Rostov demand to solve the problem with accidents at the Western chord

In Rostov-on-Don, residents of the Soviet district complain of a dangerous congress from the Western Chord. According to them, accidents often occur on the site, and long traffic jams are formed due to heavy trucks.
Recently, at the intersection of May 9 Avenue and Sovkhoznaya Street, KamAZ moved off the road. There were no casualties, but the movement was difficult for two hours.
Rostov residents associate the accident with a sharp descent on the exit from the chord. Local residents say that the bumpers here regularly damage cars, and trucks at turns block the roadway.
This increased travel time. So, residents of the village of Karataevo claim that before the road home from Malinovskogo took 10-15 minutes, and now it takes about 50 minutes.
The city authorities associate the problem with the fact that the first stage of the Western Chord goes to the Sovkhoznaya street. After the construction of the second stage, this adjoinment is planned to be removed to redistribute the traffic flow.
However, the implementation of the project remains in question. The second stage is estimated at more than 27 billion rubles, which are currently not in the regional budget. The region hopes to attract a federal subsidy for 2030. If funding is available, construction will last three years.
Now on the site there is a speed limit to 50 kilometers per hour, and trucks heavier than 12 tons are prohibited. Despite this, residents continue to complain about the accident and ask authorities to ensure safe passage.
