Residents of Serpukhov will watch the wind

According to the weather, they judged the next winter: if the first frost fell on Jacob, they waited for the snow season; a clear morning promised several frosty days in a row. Particular attention was paid to the wind: the north foreshadowed fast frosts, and the west - dampness and prolonged rains.

In the villages on this day tried not to leave the laundry to dry on the street – believed that the cold “pulls out” the fabric of the warmth of the house, and the dwelling will become chilly.
