Kostroma woman left without help in Turkey after stroke in prison

In Mersin, Turkey, volunteers took a 47-year-old native of Kostroma from a migration detention center. After suffering a stroke, she is completely speechless and paralyzed. This is reported by the publication “Caution, news”.

According to the volunteers, about four years ago the Russian woman arrived in Turkey. There, she had health problems, as well as problems with the law, which resulted in her placement in a migration prison.

It is reported that the stroke occurred in custody. A woman is paralyzed on the right side of her body. The prison administration refused to keep her further: the patient was handed over to volunteers along with a deportation document, while she was given “with a package, without papers”, since Kostroma relatives do not maintain contact.

Activists took the woman to the hospital and paid for the necessary tests. However, doctors, saying that there was no threat to life, did not hospitalize her.

on october 17, the russian woman was placed in a neurological unit, but the same day activists were asked to take her back.

At the moment, the woman is not able to eat on her own, and answers questions only with nods. According to the volunteers, she is planned to be transferred to a disabled home, since neither the Turkish authorities nor relatives living in Kostroma are ready to take care of her future.
