The acting head of the Starorussk municipal district Andrey Muromtsev congratulated the indigenous rubish woman Zinaida Pavlovna Nikolaev on his centenary, the press service of the district administration reported.
Zinaida Pavlovna was born in Staraya Russa in 1926. The Great Patriotic War was met by a very young girl. The house where she lived was destroyed during enemy bombing, and the family, which had four children, moved to relatives in Volot. There Zinaida participated in the baking of bread, which was given to the partisans.
Zinaida’s family was one of the first to return to the destroyed Old Russa after its liberation. The first time I had to live in a dugout, which was dug up near the St. George Church. The family then built a new home on their own.
Zinaida’s father was convinced that the seven classes were sufficient education. However, contrary to the will of her father, the girl after graduation went to Leningrad, where she received a profession as a teacher of chemistry and biology. Later, in Veliky Novgorod, she received her second higher education and became a geography teacher.
For more than forty years Zinaida Pavlovna worked as a teacher: for the first eleven years - in the village of Nagovo, then for more than thirty years - in the boarding school of Staraya Russa.
Andrey Muromtsev congratulated the centenarian, wishing her good health, unquenchable interest in life and care of relatives and friends.
