A resident of Makhachkala was arrested for beating a man with a bat

The Soviet district court of Makhachkala arrested a 37-year-old local resident accused of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, the joint press service of the courts of Dagestan reports.

According to investigators, in the evening of October 24, the accused in the yard of a residential building in Makhachkala during the conflict at least three times struck the victim with a wooden bat. The man was hospitalized with a concussion of the brain, a fracture of the articular process of the lower jaw on the right, a chest bruise, a fracture of the ribs and multiple bruises.

The court granted the request of the investigation and concluded the accused in custody for a period of 2 months - until December 24 inclusive.
