Residents of Kalmykia are interested in: where did the word “kicker” come from

On October 24, Russia celebrated the Filippov Kantel holiday. This date was closely related to the deterioration of weather conditions and the condition of roads.

Autumn rains turned the routes of communication into a difficult mud mess, because of which any movements and affairs were delayed.

In the old days, the word “dumper” itself meant a tedious, troublesome affair that requires a lot of time and patience. Folk wisdom aptly reflected this in the proverb: “Philippe himself stuck to the stove – so the roads were lucky.” Thus, the name of the day accurately characterized its essence - a time of protracted and slow troubles.
