Resident of Beloretsk sentenced on the fact of non-payment of alimony

The Beloretsk Interdistrict Court sentenced a local resident found guilty of non-payment of funds for the maintenance of children (part 1 of Art. 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bashkiria reports.

According to the earlier court decision, the defendant is obliged to pay alimony for the maintenance of his son.

Despite repeated warnings about criminal liability and administrative arrest for ten days for failure to pay child support for two or more months (part 1 of article 5.35.1 of the administrative code), the father did not visit his son and did not provide material assistance. He owed the child more than 1.2 million rubles.

The defendant pleaded guilty.

The court sentenced him to forced labor for ten months withholding ten percent of his earnings in state income.
