Climate scientists are sounding the alarm: the coming winter (December 2026 – February 2027) may be one of the most unpredictable in the last two centuries. The main threat lies not in persistent crackling frosts, but in unprecedented temperature instability.

Peak weather chaos is forecast for January. Meteorologists compare the upcoming scenario with the “roller coaster”: during the day the temperature can rise to plus values with wet snow, and after a few hours the thermometer will collapse by 20-25 degrees. Such extreme contrast will inevitably lead to the formation of a dense ice crust. This poses the greatest danger to motorists and pedestrians, especially in the western regions of the country.

A serious imbalance is also expected with precipitation. Geographical distortion is predicted: some areas risk meeting spring with almost snowless, while powerful cyclones will collapse on others, capable of giving a monthly rainfall in just a couple of weeks. This will put a huge burden on utilities and rescue services.

How to protect yourself this winter?

For motorists: do not postpone the change of tires for later. The roadway will turn from wet asphalt into a skating rink with lightning speed.

Meteorsensitive people: Cardiologists strongly recommend strict blood pressure control. Sharp jumps in background temperature and atmospheric pressure are a direct and dangerous blow to the vessels.

• All citizens: get shoes with an anti-slip sole, be extremely careful on the street and treat with understanding the possible disruptions in the housing and communal services due to extreme loads on the network.
