Winter will come to the Ivanovo region in a month

Many are accustomed to consider the beginning of winter on December 1, but for weather forecasters this time comes much earlier.

As explained by the head of the department of short-term weather forecasts of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Alexander Golubev, meteorological winter comes when the average daily temperature for several days falls below zero.

This usually happens in mid-November, on the 14th or 15th. However, this year, according to the forecasts of the specialist, a steady cooling should be expected in the 20s of the third month of calendar autumn or closer to its completion.

The weather forecaster said that the delay of colds is affected by an unstable temperature regime: at night frosts are already recorded, but during the day the thermometer still rises above zero. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
