The zoologist explained why wolves come to people

Wolves come to settlements in winter and only in case of severe hunger. This was told in an interview with Tsargrad by the candidate of biological sciences Pavel Glazkov, commenting on the reports about the increase in the number of wolves in Russia.

According to Glazkov, more frequent cases of wolves are associated with the appearance of night vision cameras: predators have come before, but no one has seen them. They are forced to enter settlements by cold and snowy winters, as well as severe hunger. In autumn, the beast tries not to leave the forest. In this case, the wolf rarely attacks a person, because it is afraid of him, because the wolf is hunted for centuries.

“As a rule, wolves come in and eat cats and dogs first,” the expert said.

In addition, he warned that people are often confused with wolves large stray dogs. Therefore, Glazkov advises to check every case, and believe only when there is a clear photo or video, confirmed by experts.

Earlier, the expert Mikhail Verevkin urged to take dogs into the house when wolves appear in the vicinity.

Earlier, zoologist Mikhail Krechmar told who more often becomes victims of wolves.
