Stars under lock: the legendary hotel announced a boycott of photographers

The famous Paris hotel “Ritz” on Vendome square has imposed an unprecedented ban on the work of reporters and paparazzi at its main entrances ahead of fashion week, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The management of the hotel installed blank screens and closed the drop-off zone of guests from the cameras, citing complaints from guests and security reasons. Representatives of the hotel noted that clusters of hundreds of fans and photographers paralyze traffic and create a stampede on the adjacent sidewalks.

Secular news agencies have already criticized the decision, calling it a blow to the tradition of open coverage of the main fashion event of autumn. Models and guest celebrities will now get inside through a guarded underground garage.
