Five gold and silver medals were brought by athletes of the Belgorod region from the championship and world championship in weightlifting. The competition was held in the Indian city of New Delhi from 4 to 9 October.

Ivan Fartuchny was recognized as the best in two nominations: in the “push for a long cycle” in the super-heavy category and in the relay. Fyodor Fomin is the winner of the world championship in the “push on a long cycle”. Olesya Belikova took first place in the "break". Danila Spesivtsev took gold and silver in the “break”.

We will remind, the Belgorod region entered the top four in weightlifting in Russia.
