Agent Golovin told about negotiations with “Zenit”

Alexander Klyuev, an agent of the midfielder “Monaco” and the Russian national team Alexander Golovin, spoke about the negotiations with St. Petersburg “Zenit” in the summer transfer window.

Klyuev noted that Monaco in previous years received more serious offers from Zenit, but then the club was not ready to sell Golovin: Zenit came to Monaco and gave very serious amounts - gave many times more than now. This amount was more than the one for which Sasha was bought from CSKA.”.

Also, the agent said that at the end of the transfer window, Spartak came to Golovin.

Golovin moved to Monaco from CSKA in the summer of 2018 for €30 million - this is still the most expensive transfer of a Russian footballer in history. For the French club, he played 271 games, scored 40 goals and gave 48 assists. The current contract of the player is calculated until the summer of 2029.

For the Russian national team, Golovin played 52 matches and scored nine goals.
