The Russian team was allowed to the world championship in volleyball 2027
The Women’s World Championships will be held from August 20 to September 5, 2027

The Russian women’s volleyball team will take part in the 2027 World Cup, the press service of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) reports.
Russia won the right to play at the tournament thanks to the 11th place in the FIVB world ranking of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). In total, 32 national teams will perform at the World Cup.
“The participation of the Russian national team was made possible by the decision of the International Volleyball Federation to keep our rating points after the removal of the suspension,” said VFW President Stanislav Shevchenko.
FIVB in July allowed Russian teams to their tournaments. At the same time, the Russians will be able to play in the League of Nations in 2027, but the men’s team will miss the World Cup in Poland “for security reasons.”.
The Russian women’s team won the last major victory in 2015, when they won the European Championship.
The World Cup will be held from August 20 to September 5.
