Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva thanks to a successful performance at the tournament in Beijing secured participation in the WTA Final tournament, Tennis Updates estimated.
The 19-year-old Russian reached the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing before the quarterfinals. On Tuesday in the fourth round, she beat Ukrainian Daria Snigur with a score of 6: 2, 6: 2.
In the championship race WTA on account of Andreeva was 5936 points, she rose to third place. The tennis player scored enough points to qualify for the Final Tournament. Earlier it was also done by the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina and Belarusian Arina Sobolenko.
Andreeva for the first time in his career will play at the WTA Final Tournament in singles. Last season, she performed there in a pair with compatriot Diane Schneider. In the group stage, the Russians lost all three matches.
This season, Andreeva won Roland Garros, having won the title for the first time at the Grand Slam tournament.
The final tournament, which will be held from 8 to 15 November in Indian Wells, will be attended by eight best tennis players and the best pairs of the season.
