42-year-old Andrea Kassara appointed general manager of men’s and women’s teams of Russia

Two-time Olympic fencing champion from Italy Andrea Kassara has been appointed general manager of the Russian rapier team. This was reported by the press service of the Fencing Federation of Russia.
“Congratulations to Andrea on the appointment and wish inexhaustible energy, boundless patience, luck and success in working for the benefit of Russian fencing!” – stated in the message.
42-year-old Kassara became the general manager of the men's and women's national teams of Russia on fencing on rapiers.
Kassara is a two-time Olympic champion (2004, 2012 in the team tournament of rapirists), bronze medalist of the Olympic Games (2004, personal tournament), eight-time world champion, ten-time European champion.
