London Arsenal extends contract with head coach
Last season, Arsenal won the English Championship for the first time in 22 years and also reached the Champions League final

London Arsenal have announced the extension of their contract with head coach Michel Arteta until the end of the 2029/30 season.
Arteta, a former Gunners player, has led the club since December 2019. Under his leadership, Arsenal won the English Premier League for the first time in 22 years last season.
Of the current coaches of the Premier League, the Spaniard heads the club the longest.
Also with Arsenal, Arteta won the Cup (2019/20) and three FA Super Cups (2020, 2023, 2026), reached the Champions League final (2025/26).
I am honoured to have my future with the club and continue to work with outstanding people who wish Arsenal only the best. This club is unique in its character and the atmosphere it creates; I deeply appreciate the opportunity to continue our journey together.
