Former Spain striker Pedro retired at the age of 39. He reported this on the social network X.
“I feel like this is the moment. A moment to step forward and start a new phase in my life. I leave proudly for living my dream and for all the people who were there to make it a reality. Thank you football for making me so happy, Pedro wrote.
Since 2021, Pedro has played for Lazio. Last season in 33 games he scored five goals and made two assists.
Pedro is a graduate of Barcelona, where he played from 2005 to 2015. With the team, he has won five Spanish championships, three Cups and four Super Cups, three Champions Leagues, three UEFA Super Cups and two club world championships.
Then he also played for Chelsea, with whom he won the championship, the FA Cup and the Europa League, and Roma.
In Spain, Pedro played 65 matches and scored 17 goals. With the team, he won gold at the World Championships (2010) and Europe (2012), as well as silver at the Confederations Cup (2013).
