Ovechkin extended goalless streak to three NHL matches
Washington at home beat Pittsburgh 5-3. Alexander Ovechkin, who announced the end of his career after the season, has only one assist in three games

The Washington Capitals beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in a home game of the National Hockey League (NHL) regular championship. The match ended 5-3.
Among the winners were Anthony Beauvillier (1st minute), Tom Wilson (12), Pierre-Luc Dubois (25), Alex Tuck (34), Ryan Leonard (44). Pittsburgh had goals scored by Brian Rust (2), Tommy Novak (35), Nicholas Robertson (39).
The captain of “Washington” Alexander Ovechkin was not marked by effective actions. After three games on his account one assist.
The team played their first home game in the current regular season. Before the start of the season, 41-year-old Ovechkin announced plans to retire in the NHL at the end of his career.
Russian strikers “Pittsburgh” Evgeny Malkin and Egor Chinakhov also did not differ in effective actions.
Both clubs represent the Capital Division. “Washington” after three matches scored four points and takes third place. Pittsburgh with four points after four games is in fourth place.
