Russian judokas showed the best result at the world Cup since 2010
Madina Taimazova brought Russia the second bronze in women's judo. The last time the Russians took two medals back in 2010, and before that – in 1993

Russian judoka Madina Taimazova took bronze in the category up to 70 kg at the world championships in Baku.
In the medal fight Taimazova defeated Alexandra Andrić from Serbia.
This is the second bronze in the tournament for Russian women. The first was won by Sabin Gilyazov in the category up to 48 kg.
Thus, the Russians showed the best result at the world championship since 2010, when Thea Donguzashvili became third in the absolute category, and Natalia Kuzyutina – in weight up to 52 kg. Before that, two bronzes of the world championship, the Russians took back in 1993 (Victoria Kazanina and Svetlana Gundarenko).
Two more sets of awards in women’s judo will be played in Baku. In the category of over 78 kg will perform Russian Maria Ivanova and Alice Startseva (bronze medalist CHE-2025).
