Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev could not reach the third round of the ATP tournament of the Masters series in Shanghai.

In the second round, he lost the 137th racket of the world to the Japanese Ray Sakamoto, who got to the tournament through qualification, with a score of 4:6, 4:6.

In the next round, Sakamoto's opponent will be Australian Alex de Minaur.

28-year-old Rublev is the 23rd racket of the world. He has 18 ATP titles.

The tournament in Shanghai with a prize pool of more than $9.4 million will end on October 18.
