Russian striker “Carolina Hurricanes” Andrei Svechnikov scored two goals in the home match of the regular championship of the National hockey League (NHL).

The meeting against the Vancouver Canucks ended with a 7-2 victory for Carolina. The winners scored goals K'Andre Miller (2nd minute), Svetchnikov (8, 10), Mark Jankowski (24), Logan Stankoven (34, 40, 52), the losers scored Jake Debraska (25, 54).

Candles were recognized as the third star of the match.

In five games of the new NHL season, Svetchnikov scored three goals and gave three assists. The last time he issued a double on June 11 in the match of the final series of the NHL playoffs against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Last season, 26-year-old Svechnikov in the “Carolina” became the owner of the Stanley Cup. He has been playing for the team since 2018.

In the next match, Carolina will face the Chicago Blackhawks on the night of October 11.
