RPL club announces departure of sports director

Armen Margaryan left the post of sports director of Baltika. This was reported by the press service of the Kaliningrad club of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

It is noted that cooperation is terminated by agreement of the parties.

Margaryan has held this post since November 2023.

We thank Armen Margarovich for his invaluable contribution to the development and achievements of the club during his work in Kaliningrad. He helped our team take silver medals of the Russian Cup, become champions of the First League and achieve the highest result in the Premier League! During his work, several players sparkled in our team, who later became in demand in the leading clubs of Russia, moving there for record amounts for the club.

Last season, Baltika took sixth place in the RPL. In the past transfer window, defenseman Kevin Andrade was sold to Zenit (€3.5 million according to Transfermarkt - a record for the club), goalkeeper Maxim Borisko (€2 million), midfielder Nikolai Titkov (€1.2 million) to CSKA.

After nine rounds this season, the RPL Baltika takes eighth place.
