Forward of St. Petersburg SKA Zakhar Bardakov underwent surgery on his leg. He posted on Instagram (owned by Meta, the company is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) photos from the hospital.
SKA head coach Igor Larionov said earlier that Bardakov will miss five to six months. Thus, the striker will be able to recover only to the playoffs.
Bardakov spent last season in the NHL as part of the Colorado Avalanche. In the regular season, he played 60 games and scored 10 (1+9) points with an average playing time of just over seven minutes. In the playoffs on the ice forward was not released. In the summer, he returned to SKA, where he had previously spent four seasons.
This season, the 25-year-old forward played three matches for SKA, in which he scored one puck and gave two assists.
