Verstappen won the sprint at the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix

Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen became the winner of the sprint at the Singapore Grand Prix, the 17th in the season stage of the Formula 1 championship.

Second place went to the British Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari), the third – Monegasque Charles Lecleri (Ferrari).

The top 8 also included Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), New Zealander Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls), British Oliver Berman (Haas), German Nico Hulkenberg (Audi) and British Lando Norris (McLaren).

The sprint in Formula 1 is a mini race with a distance of about 100 km (depending on the length of the track) and a time limit of one hour. Points for him receives the first eight (from 8 to 1 point).

In the overall standings, Antonelli leads (320 points), in second place his teammate George Russell (236), in third place - Hamilton (214).

Qualifying for the main race of the Singapore Grand Prix will take place later on Saturday and the race itself the next day.
