Searches in the administration of Novorossiysk are associated with the local football club “Chernomorets”, the president of which is the mayor of the city Andrei Kravchenko, write TASS and “Izvestia”.
About searches in the office of Kravchenko earlier on Monday reported “Interfax”.
TASS in law enforcement agencies said that the verification activities are related to the economic aspects of the football club.
A source of “Izvestia” in law enforcement agencies noted that we can talk about charitable contributions to the club. According to him, in 2024, the administration concluded contracts with developers on the integrated development of territories. Kravchenko signed an agreement according to which they transfer “voluntary donations” to Chernomorets and to the ANO “City of Happiness”, headed by his wife. The amount of donations was estimated at 250 million rubles.
“Chernomorets” at the end of the season 2024/25 did not pass the licensing of the RFU because of the stadium and could not take part in play-off matches for the exit to the RPL. After that, Delo Group stopped investing in the team. Co-owner and chairman of the board of directors of the group Sergey Shishkarev explained this decision by the fact that the city authorities do not allow to reconstruct or build a stadium for the team.
A year later, the team flew out of the First League and announced plans to play from 2027 in the Second League B.
