The FNL called the consequences of attacks on data centers “Yandex” for TV broadcasts
Nail Izmailov said that the FNL had difficulties with obtaining statistics and forming graphics for broadcasts due to attacks on Yandex data centers

Attacks by APU drones on Yandex data centers affected the work of the Football National League (FNL), first of all in the organization of broadcasts of matches, FNL President Nail Izmailov told Sport-Express.
“In the last round, we tried to maintain the usual quality of the air, but there were difficulties with obtaining statistical data and the formation of television graphics,” said Izmailov.
According to him, the league managed to provide the necessary set of tools and broadcasts.
When asked about the creation of its own infrastructure, Izmailov said that this would require significant investment and is unlikely to be economically justified. He said the FNL would continue to work with its technology partners and pay attention to "backup scenarios.".
Over four days, from October 8 to 11, three Yandex data centers (in the Ryazan and Kaluga regions and in Vladimir) were attacked, which led to large-scale interruptions in the operation of Internet services.
The FNL holds tournaments in the First and Second Leagues (second and third divisions of the championship of Russia). League matches are broadcast in the FNL TV app, VK Video, Kinopoisk services, the Ball and Match TV channels.
