Azerbaijan “Sabah” beat Czech “Slavia” in the home match of the second round of the General stage of the Champions League. The meeting in Baku ended with the score 2:0.
As part of the Baku team, goals were scored by Kahim Parris (49th minute) and Joy-Lans Mikkels (88).
Sabah played their second match in the Champions League. In the opening round, the team lost to English Manchester United (0: 4). The victory over Slavia was the first in the history of the tournament for the Baku team.
Sabah is the second Azerbaijani club to make it to the main stage of the Champions League. Karabakh previously played at this stage in the 2017/18 and 2025/26 seasons.
In the next round, the rival of Sabah on October 20 will be Borussia Dortmund. “Slavia” in the next round will meet on the road with the Turkish “Fenerbahce”.
