A group of fans of the English football club “Leicester City” was outraged that the main sponsor of the team, the company BC Game, appointed his ambassador porn actress – a native of Russia Eva Elfi, reports the BBC.
This week, BC Game, an online sports betting platform, announced that Alfie has become the company's ambassador. BC Game has been sponsoring Leicester since the 2024/25 season.
The Foxes Trust said gambling and pornography could have "devastating consequences." From the moment the club decided to accept sponsorship from the betting company, it felt like Leicester City were abandoning their values. Both gambling and pornography can have a detrimental effect on the lives of people, especially young people. “Is this who we are?” the Foxes Trust said in a statement.
Leicester said they were in talks with the sponsor to find a "mutually acceptable solution.".
Leicester, which in 2016 sensationally won the English Premier League (EPL), at the end of last season flew to the third division.
