Trusova won silver at the first ISU Grand Prix in five years
Russian figure skater lost in Shenzhen only to Japanese Mone Chiba

Vice-champion of the Olympics in Beijing in women’s singles Alexander Trusov (after marriage – Ignatova) won silver at the third stage of the Grand Prix of the International Skating Union (ISU) in Shenzhen (China).
In total, for a short and arbitrary program, the 22-year-old skater received 221.27 points.
In an arbitrary program, Trusova jumped a quadruple lutz.
The winner was Japanese Mone Chiba (224.48), the third was Korean Lee Ha Ying (210.79).
Trusova in January 2026 resumed her career after the birth of her son. At the stages of the ISU Grand Prix, the skater last performed in October 2021 (won Skate America).
This season, Trusova performed at two ISU Challengers - in early September she became the second at the Kinoshita Group Cup in Tokyo, and in October she took first place at the Denis Ten Memorial in Almaty. Trusova was also invited to perform at Skate America, which will be held from 13 to 15 November.
The ISU allowed Russians to attend their competitions in a neutral status, but so far they have a limited number of quotas for major tournaments due to the lack of rating points. The restrictions were introduced after the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine.
