Lokomotiv player punches opponent in face after KHL match
Lokomotiv defeated Neftekhimik 5-1. After the match between hockey players of both teams there was a fight, for participation in which both players received heavy fines
In the match of the regular championship “Fonbet” – KHL between the players of Yaroslavl “Lokomotiv” and Nizhny Kamsk “Neftekhimik” there was a fight. The meeting ended with the score 5: 1.
The incident occurred during a post-match handshake. Between the defender of “Neftekhimik” Ilya Pastukhov and the player of “Lokomotiv” Daniil Misyul began a verbal quarrel, which turned into a fight. The first blow in the face of the opponent struck Misyul.
Both players were punished with heavy fines for fighting.
After that match, Lokomotiv rose to first place in the Western Conference, scoring 35 points in 24 matches. CSKA also has 35 points, but spent one more game.
Neftekhimik are in second place in the Eastern Conference, with 29 points after 25 games.
In the next matches, Lokomotiv will host Shanghai Dregons on November 14, and Neftekhimik will play against Salavat Yulaev on November 10 at home.
