It is noted that Igor Gorbenko will temporarily act as head coach. The resignation of Pavel Zubov was the first in the current season of the KHL. In 12 matches of the regular season, Lada suffered 11 defeats. Togliatti with five points occupy the penultimate place in the standings of the Western Conference.

Pavel Zubov is 53. The specialist headed Lada in June. Prior to that, he led the team in the season-2024/25 as acting head coach. Earlier in the KHL as an assistant, Zubov worked in Novosibirsk Siberia, Yaroslavl Lokomotiv and Kazan Ak Barse.
