Spartak extends contract with footballer Esekiel Barko

Moscow football club Spartak has signed a new contract with Argentine midfielder Esequiel Barko. The agreement is designed until 2030, the press service of the red and white.

This season on account of 27-year-old Argentine one scored goal and one assist in five matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL). Last season, Barko took to the field 29 times in the national championship, noting eight goals and seven assists.

Barko moved to Spartak in the summer of 2024. The midfielder, who previously played for Argentina's River Plate grandee and North American Major League Football (MLS) club Atlanta United, has since turned into the core figure of the Moscow team. In total, he has 79 matches, 23 goals and 19 assists for red and white. Last season he won the Russian Cup with the club.
