Novak Djokovic wins ATP 500 tournament in Beijing

11th racket of the world Novak Djokovic won the tournament of the Association of tennis professionals (ATP) category 500 in Beijing. Serb won his 102nd career title.

In the final match, the 39-year-old Djokovic defeated Australian Alex de Minaur, ranked ninth in the ATP rankings. The Serb won the first set 7:6 (7:3). In the second game, his opponent refused to fight with the score 1: 0 in his favor.

Novak Djokovic extended the unbeaten streak at the tournament in Beijing to 34 matches. He has competed six times before (2009, 2010, 2012–2015) and won each.

The Serbian tennis player owns the record for the most victories in Grand Slam tournaments - 24. He is also an Olympic champion (2024).

The tournament in Beijing is held on hard courts. This year his prize fund was $4 million. The winner earned $764.75 thousand, the finalist – $411.48 thousand.
