The previous contract with the coach expired in the summer of 2027. According to the BBC, the new contract includes a clause for a "substantial salary increase." Under the terms of the previous agreement, the Spaniard received £10 million, another £5 million was provided in the form of bonuses.
Michel Arteta is 44. He has led Arsenal since 2019. Under his leadership, the team won the English Championship (2026), and also won the Cup (2020) and three super Cups of the country (2020, 2023, 2026). At the end of last season, the Spaniard was recognized as the best coach of the English Premier League.
