Belarusian tennis player Alexandra Sasnovich successfully overcame the first round at the WTA 125 Suzhou Open tournament with a prize fund of $ 115,000, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

In the opening match, as sb.by informs, the Belarusian defeated the rival from China Xinxin Yao with a score of 7:5, 6:1. The first set was held in a stubborn struggle, but A. Sasnovich made one break more (three against two). In the second game, she made significant progress and won.

In the 1/8 finals, the Belarusian will meet with the strongest participant of the pair Mananchai Savangkayev (Thailand) - Linda Frukhvirtova (Czech Republic).

Later, in the 1/16 finals, two more representatives of Belarus will perform: Alyona Faley and Daria Khomutyanskaya.

The tournament in Suzhou will end on October 11.
