Belarusian Alesya Mokritskaya won a bronze medal at the European Championships in wheelchair fencing in Cardiff, reports the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” with reference to the Ministry of Sport.

A. Mokritskaya received the award for sword fencing in category B.

At the group stage, the girl won two fights out of four, in the first round of the playoffs ahead of compatriot Kristina Feklistova, and in the quarterfinals beat Cecil Demode from France. In the semifinals, A. Mokritskaya lost to the participant from Russia Victoria Boykova.

Also, Belarus at the continental forum in the UK is represented by Alexander Ilminskaya, Anastasia Kostyuchkova, Andrei Pranevich and Ruslan Zimnitsky.

The competition will end on October 11.
