Arsenal lose at revamped stadium in national football championship

At the start of the 24th round of BETERA - the Higher League of Belarus on football "Arsenal" in his field lost to Brest "Dynamo" - 0: 1, the correspondent of the agency "Minsk-Novosti".

The meeting was notable as Arsenal finally returned to their home stadium in Dzerzhinsk. The arena was under reconstruction, and the opening ceremony of the sports facility took place on September 19. The first official match gathered almost a thousand fans (capacity - a little more than 1.6 thousand). When the Gunners played home games in Minsk, Gorodee and Borisov, the team was supported by a maximum of a couple of hundred fans.

The match against the Brest team turned out at Arsenal not bad in quality. The hosts had more possession of the ball, but the chances were not enough. Igor Malashchitsky had almost no work. This is a great merit of the defenders of Dynamo. The same can be said about the defense and goalkeeper of the Dzerzhinsk club Artem Soroko. But with a little caveat. In the 25th minute, the team from the city over Bug managed an effective attack. Alexey Butarevich passed from his half of the field led Roman Yuzepchuk one-on-one with the goalkeeper. And the midfielder Dynamo did everything perfectly - 1: 0. There were no more chances for the guests in the first half. In the second, the situation has not changed. “Arsenal” could not pass the defense of the opponent, and Brest did not succeed in counterattacks. Nevertheless, the visiting team retained a minimal advantage, achieving an important victory.

- A very difficult game for us, but a very important victory over a serious opponent. A viscous match may be incomparable, but the finish line is a result game. To some extent, we were cautious, we were prevented by marriage from feeling more confident. But we were able to find our moment again. I think we scored a beautiful goal. I am grateful to my players, despite personnel losses, for self-sacrifice, for character.
