Baltika parted ways with sports director Armen Margaryan

Kaliningrad “Baltika” has ceased cooperation with sports director Armen Margaryan. The parties terminated the agreement by mutual agreement. He has held this position since November 2023.

Before joining the Kaliningrad club, Margaryan worked in the selection and scouting services of Zenit, Lokomotiv, Wings of Soviets and Nizhny Novgorod. Before moving to Baltika, he headed the department of national selection of Dynamo Moscow.

During the work of Margaryan, the team achieved a historic result in the Cup of Russia, for the first time breaking into the superfinal of the tournament. In the decisive match of the season-2023/24, Kaliningrad lost to St. Petersburg Zenit with a score of 1: 2. However, in the Russian championship that season ended for Baltika unsuccessfully: the team took 15th place and left the RPL.

In the season-2025/26, the club set a new record in the top division of Russian football, finishing in sixth place. Now the team of Andrei Talalayev takes the eighth place in the standings of the RPL, gaining 11 points in nine rounds.
