The ninth place of Dynamo in the West and the last, eleventh, Omich in the East in the first third of the championship could dream fans of these teams except in a nightmare. However, sometimes they turn into a harsh reality. The game of two popular cheerleading teams at the beginning of the new season does not add up at all, and the results are deplorable for both those and others.

The reasons explaining such an unenviable state of affairs, from the camp of clubs there are many. At Dynamo, they talk about a new tactical scheme and new requirements that the new coach of the blue and white Leonid Tambiev implants in the team body after the four-year stay of Alexei Kudashov at the helm of this club. The management does not hide what deliberately entered this season into perestroika mode, but does not disclose how much time it will take and what the credibility of the 56-year-old Latvian mentor is.

In Avangard, they complain, first of all, about the abundance of injuries that just an avalanche hit this team at the beginning of the championship. According to media estimates, 11 players of the main team dropped out of the clip for various terms at the start of the new season. But injuries are injuries, but this does not change the fact that the signature game of this club under the leadership of Guy Boucher after the return of many injured players somewhere in an unknown way evaporated.

Very caustic before the match with “Dynamo” sounded the words of well-known in the past our hockey player Andrei Nikolishin, who called the game “hawks” cowardly. The avant-garde plays cowardly hockey, they try to throw the puck out of their zone as quickly as possible, they run around, they rush pointlessly. It starts with a single puck, it just drops.” So is it really now playing "Avangard", the correspondent of "MK-Sport" decided to personally verify, visiting the match of this team in Petrovsky Park.

In fairness, it is worth noting the fact that Nikolishin is a pupil of Dynamo hockey, and on the eve of a face-to-face meeting, his words could be aimed at destabilizing the situation within the Omsk team, as well as an attempt to bring those out of balance. What kind of hockey Dynamo plays also wanted to understand firsthand from the podium, although with so many beginners to do it seemed a very difficult task.

On the first game of the four-game away series from the infirmary "hawks" came another injured player - Alexander Volkov, immediately took a place in the strike link with Michael McLeod and Kostya Okulov. The composition of Avangard is getting closer and closer to optimal, only two remain on the injured list: forwards Prokhorkin and Paquette. The latter really wanted to play against his former team, but the medical staff decided to hold the eager Canadian, who should appear in the upcoming games away.

With an advantage of two washers, Dynamo went to the second break, but such a score did not guarantee anything white and blue: the hosts out of hand poorly spend the final twenty minutes at home in the arena in Petrovsky Park. In 11 previous games, they failed to win a single victory, losing in nine of them. But Omsk in this game segment away acts no better: zero victories in seven fights.

And while he said at the press conference that he likes to overcome difficulties and will not accept them if he does not fix the situation of the team in the near future, this trophy may be the only one he will bring home from our country.
