Dmitry Pyatibratov: “Locomotive” bravo, “Torch” disappointed

Former mentor of “Torch”, authoritative specialist Dmitry Pyatibratov in an interview with the correspondent of “MK-Sport” told about the problems of the Voronezh team and the prospects of “railway workers”.

- Dmitry Anatolyevich, what are your impressions of the match between Torch and Lokomotiv?

- Locomotive bravo! You can see the pause was good for him. But still, Lokomotiv is a serious level, they are players with very high potential. If we are talking about young people and team leaders like Komlichenko, Sergey Pinyaev, Zelimkhan Bakayev, they should already give results. The attack team is beautiful. And they just tore, destroyed the Torch, unfortunately for me. Torch does not have the right to concede five goals in the home match, even from such a strong team as Lokomotiv. "Torch" at the distance after the start of the championship on the results simply disappointed, depressing statistics. And we saw that, probably, the time has come for changes, and the leaders very timely decided to resign Vasilienko.

- What do you see as the main problem of the torch now?

The problem is the lack of victories. Here, after all, I would talk about a systemic failure, because the Torch failed the spring. They were very difficult to get a ticket to the RPL, there was a big failure, the team was very nervous to return to the championship after a restart last year. And now the start of the championship is zero wins. This suggests that there is a systemic crisis. In general, it turns out that Oleg Petrovich probably has the skills of a coach, but he is not enough to lead a Premier League team. Throughout his career, he has not won a single Premier League victory. That fact must be borne in mind. Therefore, we need to thank the coach for his efforts, for his desire to work, but I think his resignation is fair, because Torch was not the team where we could say that we understand how Torch can overcome this crisis. We wait, we watch, we still have time. I hope the situation can be corrected. Because, let’s be objective, the players who are assembled in the Voronezh club are very qualified. I assure you that they are not inferior in skill, but they are probably not much superior to the players of Orenburg. Only the coaching staff of Orenburg managed to make Orenburg very high in the table. And the Torch failed. Therefore, there are still questions to the coaching staff.

This is only Lokomotiv’s second win this season. Against the backdrop of a devastating victory, can we say that the railway workers have finally found the key to success?

I can't say what they found globally. But I assure you that they will find him, because he is a competent experienced coach, a great team, even despite significant losses, the departure of the leaders. Lokomotiv will accelerate at a distance, of course, he will finish the tournament high in the table. There's no doubt about it.
