The French club will go to court because of the injury of the player in the match of the League 1
French football club Lille are considering a trial after the defender suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament as a result of a kick-back from an opponent player in a French championship match.

French club Lille have said they are considering taking legal action after defender Thiago Santos suffered a serious knee injury on October 10 in an "uncontrollable and dangerous" tackle in Saturday's Ligue 1 match against Le Le Le Havre.
Santos, 24, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and right knee meniscus and was carried off the field on a stretcher after being knocked down by Le Le Le Havre midfielder Amir Richardson in the first half of a match in which Lille triumphed 1-0.
The judge recorded a violation of the rules for a slap, but did not issue a warning to Richardson.
Lille said the foul deserved a red card and that they had asked the league's governing body (LFP) to refer the case to a disciplinary committee. The club is also demanding an explanation about the video replay process conducted by the match referees.
"LOSC is exploring all possible legal avenues and reserves the right to take any necessary legal action to obtain compensation for the losses suffered," the club said in a statement. He will support Thiago in every step he takes to defend his rights.
In response, Le-Gavre wished Santos a speedy recovery, but stressed that neither the main referee of the match nor the video-assist system of referees considered this kick worthy of punishment.
“In this regard, HAC casts doubt on the decision of the LOSC to hold the FFF (French Football Federation) and the LFP accountable for punishing its player after the fact, as such a decision goes beyond the current rules,” the club added.
HAC respects all Ligue 1 clubs and expects the same respect in return.
Representatives for the FFF and LFP did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside normal working hours in France.

Portuguese defender Santos earlier, in 2024, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.
Lille, second in Ligue 1, will face Arsenal in London on Tuesday as part of the Champions League.
