Gymnasts of Chuvashia won seven medals at the All-Russian competitions in Kazan

Pupils of the sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 6 of the Chuvash Republic won seven medals at the All-Russian competitions in gymnastics in memory of Honored Worker of Physical Culture O.P. Zakharov.

The tournament, held in Kazan, was attended by 260 athletes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Izhevsk, Cheboksar, Novocheboksarsk and other cities of Russia.

The most titled among the representatives of Chuvashia was Margarita Leontieva, who won gold in the personal all-around and on the log, as well as silver on different high bars. Gold medals were also won by Victoria Tonkonogova (multi-high bars), Elizaveta Tonkonogova (log) and Sofia Semenova (reference jump). Semenova also became a silver medalist in freestyle exercises.

Training athletes were engaged in coaches Irina and Victoria Nikolaev.
